ABC Professor Schedules Time for Writing
This spring, Jewel Brazelton, Ph.D., Title IX Coordinator and Professor of Sociology, will be busy writing. She will submit an article for consideration to the professional journal, Traumatology, a publication of the American Psychological Association. Dr. Brazelton’s work will focus on her research and doctoral dissertation on trauma and the aging. Traumatology is a principal reference for professionals studying and treating those who are victims of stressful trauma or disaster, such as terrorist bombings, war disasters, fires, accidents, criminal and familial abuse, hostage-taking, hospitalization, major illness, abandonment, and sudden unemployment. In addition to this scholarly journal, she plans to carve out additional time to work on other publication projects. Dr. Brazelton received the B. S. degree from Tennessee State University, the M. S. W. from Washington University, and Ph. D. from the University of Chicago.
